Craft Pad has some cute advent calendars on her blog, and I am in the process of making this one from The Land of Nod. I realize there are other things like Halloween and Daylynn's birthday that I should be working on right now, but this is easy and mindless (unlike the other two)! 
I love the headband you made. I bought a bunch of headbands at Dollar Tree (like 6 for a buck). A friend of mine covered them with ribbon and they turned out so cute. I'm going to try out some of your fabric flowers on them.
